Pöyry´s Forest Industry business group employs more than 2200 experienced people in about 60 local offices around the world.

The majority of employees working with forest industry consulting services have an university-level degree, in a technical field, forestry or business administration. Their studies include forestry, pulp, paper, printing, mechanical wood products, industrial economics, finance or marketing.

Employees providing engineering and project implementation services for pulp and paper industry include graduate engineers, engineers and technicians with studies in the fields of electrical engineering and automation technology, pulp and paper tecnology, mechanical engineering, pulp mill chemical recovery and energy generation, and information technology.

Working with international clients and demanding projects with tight schedules is not only a matter of in-depth knowledge and understanding of the industry and solid technical expertise; it also requires proficiency in languages, flexibility and interpersonal skills. Good team-players, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in various cultural environments are highly valued.
